Freedom 250 is a limited liability company formed in October 2025 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Park Foundation, the congressionally chartered nonprofit fundraising arm of the National Park Service. Operating under the foundation's tax-exempt status, it was created to organize events and projects for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. It is chaired by President Donald Trump and staffed with several of his political aides, including his 2024 campaign co-manager Chris LaCivita and his top fundraiser Meredith O'Rourke, and has produced the administration's marquee anniversary events. Its opaque finances and its relationship to the separate, congressionally chartered America250 commission have drawn scrutiny.
