Guren "Bobby" Zhou is an Abu Dhabi-based businessman who, through the firm Aqua 1, became one of the largest buyers of tokens from World Liberty Financial, the Trump family cryptocurrency venture. Raised in Shanghai, he moved to England in 2005 for graduate school and built a hardwood-flooring distribution business and a chain of 20 retail stores, which he placed into administration, the British equivalent of bankruptcy restructuring, in 2018. He then founded the crypto start-up Caduceus, which marketed a tool for building virtual worlds and collapsed in 2024 after burning through $7.6 million, and relocated to the United Arab Emirates that summer. A court record filed in November 2025 names him as one of six people alleged to have taken part in a money-laundering effort in England beginning in 2019; he is the only one of the six who has not been charged, and British officials said in July 2026 that the investigation remained active.
