Boris Epshteyn is an American attorney and political strategist who has been a longtime adviser to Donald Trump. He worked as a media surrogate and communications aide on Trump's campaigns and in his first administration, and has continued in a senior legal-advisory role to Trump in the years since. In April 2024, an Arizona grand jury indicted him on nine felony counts for his alleged role in an effort to submit a slate of fake presidential electors for Trump after the 2020 election; he pleaded not guilty, and the case was later returned to the grand jury on procedural grounds.
