On September 29, 2025, Dar Global announced Trump Plaza Jeddah, a USD 1 billion mixed-use development comprising residences, serviced apartments, office space and townhouses — its second Jeddah-based collaboration with the Trump Organization, following Trump Tower Jeddah in December 2024. The deal channels branding and management fees to the Trump Organization. Coverage situated the announcement against Donald Trump's close ties to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which drew sharp criticism after the 2018 killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, and against Saudi Arabia's selection as the destination of Trump's first major foreign trip of his second term.
