Steve Witkoff is an American real estate developer, investor, former attorney, and founder of the Witkoff Group. A longtime associate of Donald Trump, he was appointed by Trump as the United States special envoy to the Middle East and as a special envoy for peace missions beginning in 2025, and has also acted as a de facto envoy to Russian president Vladimir Putin. He is the father of Alex and Zach Witkoff, who co-founded World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency firm connected to the Trump family.
