Samuel Reed is an American technology executive and co-founder of the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange BitMEX, where he served as chief technology officer. He pleaded guilty in U.S. federal court to violating the Bank Secrecy Act for failing to maintain anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer programs at the exchange, and received probation. He was pardoned by President Donald Trump alongside fellow BitMEX co-founders Arthur Hayes and Benjamin Delo.
