Bryan Sheffield, who founded Permian shale producer Parsley Energy, was among the many oil-and-gas donors backing Trump's 2024 return with $845,000. Upstream producers have since gained from the tax law that lets drillers dodge the corporate minimum tax and the EPA's elimination of the climate endangerment finding, rewards shared across the sector.
